Ormco works closely with orthodontists to improve existing products and develop new products primarily through its Champion programs in which selected orthodontists assist Ormco in designing, developing and ultimately educating users on new product and technique innovations.
Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, theMarketing Managerwill be responsible for marketing the Spark product category within Ormco. The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional commercial team to deliver innovative marketing initiatives that will accelerate above-market growth while meeting organizational objectives. Responsibilities will include supporting the global marketing plan, downstream commercial strategies and tactics, new product launch execution, outbound marketing content and innovative business solutions to address emerging market trends.
* * PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Define and capture data for consumer and B2B value prop positioning competitive strategy, and promotion to maximize market share and profitability. * Execute annual global brand plan to include new product launch, digital marketing, lead generation campaigns, advertising, and promotion strategy. * Execute strategies and participates in market research and VOC events to maximize product effectiveness in the market. * Execute on the annual marketing budget for assigned product lines. * Drive strategy and execution of lifecycle marketing to onboard, retain, build loyalty to increase the lifetime value of customers and improve their customer journey (includes building a customer segmentation framework, utilizing and feeding data into CRM, and launching a rewards program). * Have a strong pulse on relevant trends, consumer insights, and technologies that impact our industry and the way customers base buying decisions. * Lead global marketing counterparts to develop regionally specific marketing plans that stay true to the overarching brand strategy while maximizing local revenue goals * Work closely with legal, regulatory, finance and other cross functional partners to effectively navigate the internal and external environment to achieve desired results.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * * Bachelor's degree in Marketing Business or related field equivalent required; MBA preferred * 3 years experience in a professional marketing role related to the launch of products required; dental/medical device preferred * 2 years experience in digital marketing preferred * Approximately 30% travel, international travel required. Candidate must be located in Southern California, USA. * * *QUALIFICATIONS & *CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS:* * Strategic— must be able to make decisions quickly that drive Company goals and objectives. * Communication— must be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms. Creative writing experience a plus. * Self-reliant — must be able to create, write and execute his/her marketing plans (doesn’t rely on an agency or others to execute their work). * Analytical– must be able to evaluate marketing program return-on-investment and make recommendations to improve program structure for Company and customers.
