Beckman Coulter is a Danaher company, operating in two industries: Diagnostics and Life Sciences.

The Proposal Analyst II will work directly with the contracting team in developing offers, RFP’s, Bids, addendum, amendments and driving flawless execution of contracts and deal approvals where considerable judgment, analysis and initiative are necessary. This position will be is responsible for the development of error proof contract documents while maintaining high attention to detail. This individual will be expected to provide insight and business recommendations based on deal analysis. Those responsibilities include identifying any discrepancy or potential gaps in the deal elements and focusing on continuously improving the process; recommending solutions and sharing best practices. The Proposal Analyst II is also responsible for reviewing redlines of contract terms and conditions in close coordination with legal, sales and direct customer interaction for timely turn around time (TAT). The role will maintain close collaboration with other departments/stakeholders, including sales, sales management, operations, client on-boarding, legal and finance. Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Responsibilities: * Review of proposal details to ensure compliance to company policies, GPO’s terms and pricing guidelines to support profitable sales growth. * Advises sales on handling objections, alternative contract options, and/or value propositioning to help drive deal closures. * Assist sales and support staff in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies and drive for improvements. * Collaborate with impacted parties to identify acceptable options to facilitate deal closures. * Build strong partnerships with cross functional peers and superiors to ensure overall streamlined process and champion contract policy and procedure revisions. * Ensures coordination with Legal, Finance, Service, Marketing, and IT on contract matters as relevant. * Is a sales advocate & partner to internal organizations to understand sales issues. * Participate in complex assignments where independent judgment, action and initiative are necessary.


Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree * Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Contracting, Quoting, or Pricing

Preferred Qualifications: * Strong organizational skills, strategic thinker and problem solver, time management skills and ability to self-manage in a complex / time sensitive environment are required. * Must be a team player. * Ability to work in fast paced environment and handle heavy workload. Proven driver. * Ability to multi-task and prioritize. * Must be self-motivated and flexible. * Ability to see the big picture. * Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment and build support across a complex set of stakeholders is required. A voice for our sales partner. * Ability to form strong, trust-based relationships with SMEs, sales team and legal. * Drive to understand the products and offerings, strategies and business objectives is required. * Strong level of ownership and drive for meeting / exceeding expectations is required. * Ability to drive adherence to protocols and business rules is required. * Proficiency in MS Excel including pivot tables, vlookups and standard functions is required * Proficiency in MS Word including track changes and doc compare is required. * Demonstrated ability to read and understand terms and conditions of a contract required for proper administration and compliance. * Must possess strong analytical skills and pay attention to details while ensuring accuracy. * Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. * Maintains all organizational and professional ethical standards. * Experience with the Oracle or other ERP system is favorable. * Paralegal skills are a plus. * BECKRSR
