The Senior Network Security Analyst for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics will help oversee the design and implementation of network solutions to comply with industry and enterprise security requirements. The ideal candidate will be a strong influencer who will leverage their architectural and engineering experience to provide governance support for their network engineering peers.

This position is part of the IT organization and will be located in Brea, CA, Miami, FL or remotely.

You will be a part of the Global Information Security Team and report to the Senior Manager of Information Security responsible for developing innovative solutions to securing data and providing guidance for business-driven technology initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead Information Security initiatives with cross-functional teams to rollout new compliance programs or network security tools to the enterprise

  • Review and approve network changes such as firewall policy modifications to ensure compliance with enterprise policies and standards

  • Create, maintain, and carry out security assessment procedures to validate network device configuration standards and deployment procedures are adhered to

  • Monitor networks to identify security events and coordinate incident response

  • Conduct investigations into information security events by analyzing logs and other data sources

  • Partner with the Global Network Services team to ensure vulnerabilities in network infrastructure are remediated according to enterprise SLAs.

  • Support regulatory and compliance efforts by analyzing data and providing reports as required to auditors and compliance teams

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Systems or related degree with 5+ years of experience as a network security engineer or a formal information security role with network security governance responsibilities OR Master’s degree with same.

  • Demonstrable proficiency with Palo Alto firewall platform

It is a plus, not required, if you also possess previous experience in:

  • a regulated environment with strong controls around change management and compliance

  • working with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure environments

  • incident response

  • Juniper SRX firewall platform and experience with common information security tools (vulnerability scanners, URL filtering, endpoint security, etc.)

  • Certifications: AWS, CISSP, CCNA Security, CCNP Security, GIAC Certifications, or Network+
