The Senior Metering Compliance Internal Consultant / Analyst position will work directly with Internal and External customers to support efficiency initiatives. Focused on ordering and inventory methods connected to our Metering Program (product ordered on consignment and billed as customers perform laboratory testing) to be accomplished by audits, along with reducing waste in reagent cost. The individual will interact with peers, leadership, customers, and field employees daily to build strong partnerships and facilitate compliance to the program by improving within the Metering program. The position spans two key areas: 1) Partner with Customers, Sales, Service Partners and Client Services to drive inventory management best practices within Customer Laboratory 2) Review audits, order history and analytics on metered reagent to provide informed decision support.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Partner with sales, service partners and customers to develop an action plan to support efficient ordering and management of consignment inventory

  • Responsible for building new capabilities within Client Services to support administrating Metering Compliance by identifying best practices and standardization across Client Services teams and strong ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment (evolving process).

  • Leads conversations with Customers and Sales partners to promote efficient use of reagents and best practices for managing on hand inventory.

  • Willingness and ability to learn business operations within specific customer laboratory as needed to provide helpful insight to reduce unused consignment reagents.

  • Provide analysis of data (Customer’s menu, volume, on board stability), tracking of key initiatives and metrics, to leverage into problem-solving skills which promote Metering optimization.

  • Provide decision and analytical support to management by developing and interpreting sophisticated data.

  • Analyzes instrument usage data to better understand current state and make informed recommendations .

  • Analyzes specific Customer orders prior to shipment to countermeasure abnormalities and avoid risk of unnecessary cost or unused reagents.

    The essential qualifications for the job include:

  • Bachelor Degree with 5+ years work experience OR Master Degree with 3+ years work experience OR Doctoral Degree with 0-2 years work experience in the following fields: Chemistry hospital/reference laboratory setting, hospital sales, diagnostics contracting, customer support, finance, and/or related field.

  • Experience supporting Field Sales and Customer handling with p roven followership and strong ability to influence others.

  • Strong understanding of laboratory leadership structure with an ability to navigate through the political nuances of that structure AND hospital laboratory workflow, instrumentation, infrastructure and organizational culture

  • Proficiency in MS Excel including pivot tables, Vlookups, and standard functions required. Oracle (ERP Systems), Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE), Power BI, Smartsheet and Sharepoint a plus.
