Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:
The role is responsible to provide support for our Americas Service business units across the commercial functions which includes hardware, software, aftermarket products and services. The successful candidate will be expected to perform a wide variety of hands on service contract negotiation with both internal and external customers and administration services.
Reviews complex solicitations and prepares specialized and/or non-routine response for proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
Generally, involves independent judgment and analysis of significant issue identification and resolution.
May require development of new contract policies and processes or assessment of required deviations from established norm. Including, non-routine of specialized contract vehicles and techniques
Analyzes significant, and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure and communicates results to subordinates.
Ability to communicate with legal, finance and business team disciplines for resolution of contract issues and disputes.
Research and identify relevant bid opportunities
Respond to Federal, State and local government RFPs for new opportunities and rebids.
Responsible for the full life cycle of bid. Investigate and summarize bid opportunities/risks for evaluation by senior leadership
Compose draft response, final edits, and prepare response for complete and timely submission.
Owning the proposal development process to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of compelling, compliant, and well-written solution.
Accomplish outcomes with logical and methodological approach, with high urgency and attention to detail.
Manage bid responses and supporting files electronically for organized and efficient bid management.
Examine and identify areas in the bid that create potential liability exposure for the company
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years’ work experience or equivalent experience in life sciences manufacturing with similar responsibilities.
Paralegal ABA (American Bar Association) member in good standing or Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) required
Working to expert knowledge of contracting concepts, Uniform Commercial Code, applicable public contract acquisition law and regulations, and applicable international contract law.
Strong to excellent analytical and communication skills.
Good presentation, leadership and management skills.
Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Oracle 11i
