Danaher Corporation Senior Social Media Specialist in Brea, California

We are looking for a Sr. Social Media Specialist to help us reach our customers globally. This person will create strategic content, optimize our channels and amplify our brand. This individual will be responsible for all of Leica Biosystems social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. In this role you will engage audiences in the anatomic pathology space, including pathologists, to drive traffic to our website and our educational portal, Knowledge Pathway.

All the responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Build a social media strategy from the ground up, including content ideas and audiences to target, that aligns with Global Marketing’s objectives

  • Creating and executing a global social media content calendar

  • Determine key performance initiatives; measure channel activity in a meaningful way

  • Partnering with the Global Campaign and Content & Evidence teams to develop social media posts that promote educational and product-related content

  • Developing strategies for engaging with key audiences, such as pathologists, using social channels

  • Optimizing our existing social platforms and explore underutilized channels, like YouTube and Reddit

  • Monitoring social channels and reply to feedback as required

  • Keeping on top of industry trends and suggest actions to keep our feeds current

  • Partner with campaign and workflow teams to generate excitement around our products and educational content

Engaging Key Audiences

  • Conduct research around our target audiences to better understand how they utilize social media

  • Develop specific strategy around attracting pathologists to our social media platforms and nurturing those relationships

  • Find opportunities to participate in online conversations relevant to our key audiences

  • Utilize social media channels to nurture customers along their buying journey

Process Improvements

  • Develop a system for collecting, prioritizing and scheduling social media requests that come from various partners within the organization, including global marketing, talent acquisition and corporate communications

  • Create an internal process for Leica Biosystems associates to submit workplace culture-related pieces of content to be published on social media

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matters most for this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field

  • 3+ years’ experience in social media management

  • Experience using Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Facebook in a professional capacity

  • Strong writing abilities, with an understanding of how to adopt a company’s tone of voice

  • Experience running paid advertisements on social media platforms and targeting specific audiences

  • Experience using social media management platforms like Hootsuite to monitor channels and schedule content

Preferred

  • Experience working in a healthcare or regulated environment

  • Beginner/intermediate experience with the Adobe suite of products (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop)

  • Basic video-editing capabilities
