This position supports the growth of the Sciex Separations business in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. As part of this team, the ideal candidate brings outstanding communications skills, excellent technical expertise, creative thinking, strong software development skills in both presentation (GUI) and back-end (Services) to the organization. The new hire will report to the Sr. Software Development Manager for the Sciex CE Biopharma Business Unit located in Brea, Ca..
Create and maintain instrumentation control software for the Life Sciences system domain.
Front-end GUI to back-end service layers for instrumentation control and status.
Scrum software development process, code reviews, design reviews, user story and tasks updates.
Implementation of unit tests and automation scripts.
Create and maintain software lifecycle documentation.
Support the verification of software and systems.
Comply to the quality management system and applicable regulatory requirements.
Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of related experience or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of related experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have a degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
At least 3-5 years C++/C#/Java for instrumentation control software or embedded systems.
At least 3-5 years .NET/WPF/WCF application/service development preferably in a Life Science or Medical Device domain.
Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills through distributed layers of software.
Agile, Scrum or XP software development process experience.
Experience in analytical instrumentation development.
Experience in Life Science or Medical Device domains.
Strong business sense with customer focus.
Familiarity with Capillary Electrophoresis technology is a plus.
