Danaher Corporation Sr. HR M & A Consultant in Brea, California
Remote based position which will be a key member of our Corporate HR Mergers & Acquisitions team. This role will be responsible for conducting and/or leading HR due diligence and early integration planning support for corporate transactions (i.e. acquisitions, minority investments, JVs, spin-offs, divestitures, etc) across various businesses and platforms within the enterprise. This role is one of "player" and mentor/coach, partnering closely with our Business HR leads, Business Development and Corporate Development teams on transaction work. The position reports to the (DHR Corp.) Director, HR M&A. See Position Description Statement provided for further details.
This role may lead Corp HR M&A due diligence and initial integration planning for small to medium sized deals (less than $700M purchase price) and will assist in those activities for large deals ($700M+ purchase price). The candidate will collaborate with the Director, HR M&A, the Manager, HR M&A, and other internal and external parties to support a heavy level of due diligence projects and early HR integration planning annually, to deliver an effective, efficient and a consistent quality of service to the deal team. Key areas of responsibility include due diligence, acquisition meeting/call participation, HR integration and communications planning, legal document review and feedback (i.e. purchase agreements and disclosures), and training and mentoring on the DD and integration processes for Business HR leads.
The candidate will collaborate across the enterprise with all levels of management and business leaders at our operating companies. The position will also frequently interact with Danaher’s Corporate Total Rewards team, various external partners, and employees (various levels and global) at the target acquisitions and/or their parent companies.
Essential duties and responsibilities
§ Partner with the Director, HR M&A and Manager, HR M&A, and in consultation with various SME’s, in the design, development, and implementation of HR M&A standard work tools and training.
§ Provide training and mentoring (on Danaher due diligence and deal process) to Business HR leads, to develop best-in-class HR M&A and integration capabilities.
§ Work closely with the Danaher Total Rewards team to ensure that critical compensation and benefit risks for acquisitions are identified and effective transition plans are developed, according to business needs and Danaher standards and strategy.
§ Lead and/or assist with HR due diligence for deals in the following areas:

Unions & Work Councils
The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator, intellectually curious and have a strong work ethic. The individual must be an independent problem solver and self-starter with the bandwidth to multitask and work on several key projects at a given time (often with bold timeframes). The individual should have the ability to participate in upbeat give-and-take discussions about his or her work. It is important that the individual have superior interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at multiple levels and be non-political in all dealings with agendas that are above board and understood by all. The individual must be comfortable working in a high-energy, constantly evolving and demanding environment.
