The Information Security Engineer helps to safeguard Danaher Dental Platform’s computer networks and systems. You will plan and carry out security measures to monitor and protect sensitive data and systems from infiltration and cyber-attacks. You will work on the vulnerability remediation process and the resolution of the Information Security tickets, escalations and incidents, either autonomously or in collaboration with other IT or Danaher associates. You will have the ability to work autonomously and with a diverse team and should be able to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress situations. You will communicate network security issues to peers and management.
The Information Security Engineer works with the Information Security Manager, the Dental Platform IT teams and the Danaher Information Security team to ensure the global infrastructure is maintained at the highest security standards.
Responsibilities: * Observe and respond to TMC, SOC alerts, anti-virus alerts and other configured security alerts * Manage, configure and administer Splunk logs, configuration and alerts * Assist in the detection, prevention and analysis of security threats * Lead incident response, including steps to minimize the impact and then assist with the technical and forensic investigation into how the breach happened and the extent of the damage * Provide 3rd level support to IT Support/EUC Team members for Information Security related issues * Work with vendors for new projects or support issues * Some travel required
Required Skills & Experience: * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline * 3 – 5 years’ industry experience in an information security function * Splunk certification required and at a minimum Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator; Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect is preferred * Splunk - Must be able to scope, size, deploy and manage a Splunk on-prem instance for a large enterprise * Linux proficiency * Proficient in Incident Response * Working knowledge of Nexpose, Nessus or similar vulnerability assessment tool * Configuration of Windows and Linux host-based security as well as network and cloud-based security systems * Networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) Preferred Skills & Experience: * CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional * CompTIA Security * CEH: Certified Ethical Hacker * GSEC: SANS GIAC Security Essentials * Any cloud security certification Why join Danaher’s new DentalCo?
