Danaher Corporation Regional Sales Manager - BioResearch UK-IE-Nordics in Bromma, Sweden

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join us in Europe. You’ll be responsible for leading a complementary team across the UK, Ireland, Denmark, and Sweden to support, develop, and grow our Bioresearch business. She/He will develop an environment that promotes and champions innovation by encouraging diverse thinking. Reporting to the Sales Director he/she will be responsible for rolling out the European sales tactics within his/her territories and ensure the accurate use of the different tools by his/her team.

She/He will bring her/his team to Sales Excellence applying continuous and positive mentorship through feedback. She/He will support her/his team members in developing their potential through purposeful development plans.

He/she will work with his/her team to ensure customer delight within the different market segments while protecting/improving margins and revenue

In this role, you'll

  • Achieve Region Annual Quota in partnership with Leadership Team, agree a business plan that drives achievement of regional annual quota

  • Roll up Regional Forecasts as requested

  • Coach and mentor existing and new Account Managers. Building functional and technical sales capability within the Account Manager Team (s), through coaching (performance e.g P4G) and mentoring (leadership anchors / behaviours e.g D4G)

  • Travel with all Account Managers in the defined region on a routine basis – min 1 day each Account Manager per month.

  • Weekly Funnel reviews with direct reports

  • Weekly funnel report to Sales Director Continental Europe, BioResearch.

  • Responsible for hiring for open headcount within the assigned region and building an account manager leadership funnel.

  • Ensure efficient on-boarding of new hires

  • Monthly territory plan reviews with direct reports

  • Support & develop and grow VWR partnership in UK, Ireland, Denmark & Sweden in collaboration with the Director of Business Development

  • Reports field feedback to EU Marcom team to assist in developing local actions

  • Centralise and transfer internally field feedback through customers and Account Managers. Uses field knowledge to help develop strategies to achieve growth goals

  • Within the level of authority, Quote Approvals

  • Expenses Approval

  • Vacation Approval

  • Facilitating Sales Meetings and Product Training

  • Regular Team Conference Calls

  • In the event of any team, vacancies will be responsible for ensuring that the respective sales territory is suitably supported.

We're looking for you to showcase

  • BS degree, preferably in life science technology. Advanced degree in science and/or business desirable

  • Substantial proven successful capital equipment sales experience for a major diagnostic or life science-based company

  • Demonstrable repetitive success in direct sales of capital equipment ranging from $10k - $150k to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic and government research laboratory customers

  • Track record of growing sales volume over successive years

  • First experience of supervising or working through other colleagues/parties.

  • Must have a high standard of written and spoken English.

  • Ability to develop a healthy competitive environment within the assigned territory sales team – Best Team win’s spirit.

  • Ability to mentor/develop sales team to improve all key AM’s skills: forecasting, funnel & pipeline reviews, organization/planning, vision, closing (OTG/MIH), technical skills, lead generation activities (eblast, seminars, summits, webinars, power hour, telemarketing campaigns etc.).

  • Ability to clearly communicate team’s performance, areas for improvement to Sales Director BioResearch Europe and suggest constructive ideas

  • Ability to lead a team by example & maintain a good cross collaboration between team members

  • Ability to develop AM’s creativity & to stimulate AM to take initiative. Objective in building the best team in our industry!

  • Ability to assist AM’s during challenging Sales negotiation, demos, and/or after sales problematic meetings

  • Able to regularly travel and work away from home nationally and occasionally internationally.
