The Team and influence

The Immunoassay Product Management team consists of 3 Global Product Managers/ Specialists responsible for upstream marketing activities and 2 Global Product Managers and 1 Marketing Manager responsible for commercialization of the products. You report to Kieran Clarke, Director for Immunoassay Marketing, who describes the interesting challenge in the job:

Responsibilities

The role will include responsibility for Upstream Marketing activities for our immunoassays. As such, the Global Product Manager is responsible for the daily product management activities for new product development projects and for contributing to the future roadmap for the business.

You represent the voice of the customer and market needs. By being in regular contact with local sales & marketing teams and attending conferences you stay on top of what the regional differences are for our customer's needs to ensure those needs are central to our innovation activities.

With your commercial colleagues, expect to:

  • Map and analyze market opportunities for our products

  • Develop short to long-term strategies for IA products to maximize potential

  • Drive accurate business cases for New Product Development (NPD) and Life Cycle Management projects

  • Plan product launches with the commercial marketing team to ensure launch readiness from an early product development stage

Together with Medical & Clinical Affairs you:

  • Understand market needs and product use from a medical and clinical perspective

  • Plan future clinical use cases for our products

With R&D you:

  • Drive agreement on product scope, features and benefits through translation of your customer- market- and competitive insights

  • Ensure customer needs are central to all innovation strategies and decisions

  • Develop future roadmap and product portfolio definitions

Expected travel activity is 15-20 % of the time.

Qualifications

A B.sc. or higher in a science area such as biological sciences or biochemistry is an advantage. Most important is to fulfil most of the following criteria:

  • 3-5 years of experience with Product Management from a healthcare business

  • Equipped with a marketing toolbox from another global marketing team

  • Ability to conduct Voice of Market and to translate this into product/solution requirements

  • Ability to identify scientific data needed to drive commercial success

  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills with other functions, subsidiaries and local marketers

  • Being able to work in a technical environment, especially with R&D

  • Strong communication skills- Knows how to set up two–way communication and collaboration with other marketing teams and with cross-functional teams.
