Radiometer is looking for a Mechanical Engineer

Are you experienced within design of mechanical components and process technology within plastic and metal - Do you thrive by working with advanced technology fluorescence measurements and electromechanical movements – then this job would be an excellent opportunity!

In this role you will be acquainted with several exciting technologies such as fluorescence measurements at Europium, analyzer interaction with immunoassays, and advanced electromechanical movements. In addition, you will learn about product development in a medico company, considering relevant regulations.

Meet your department

As our new colleague you will be part of AQT R&D, a team of 15 specialists. At AQT, we are doing design and innovation and maintenance of items within sheet metal, milling in plastic/metal injection molding, mechanism with motors and gears and fluid transport with pumps, valves, and tube couplings. This role refers to Sr. Manager IA R&D Hardware.

AQT R&D works closely with SW, Chemistry, and Electronics focusing on developing a complete system. Therefore, the collaboration across functions is essential.

Your responsibilities summed up

As our new Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to a wide range of areas and tasks such as

  • Product maintenance on AQT90

  • Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging.

  • Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.

  • Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.

  • Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation.

Furthermore, ongoing development project is relatively advanced, so it is expected that the emphasis in the next few years will be on troubleshooting, adjustments, design optimization and supplier approvals, as well as verification work and documentation.

Preferred qualifications

We expect you to hold a degree in MSc or BSc in relevant engineering. Prior experience within design of mechanical components and process technology within plastic and metal would be an advantage.

Furthermore, you have

  • 2-10 years of proven relevant work experience

  • Experienced within 3D modeling, preferably CREO

  • Good knowledge within tolerance calculations, CpK and measurement methods

  • Experienced within statistics and data processing

  • Excellent analytical skills and structured approach to problem solving

  • Good communication skills both verbally and in writing

  • Competences within documentation and document structures, as this is a large part of our everyday life.

Moreover, to be successful you are experienced in driving both yourself and your interdisciplinary colleagues towards the project's objectives, also extensive experience in planning.

You possess a creative and curious approach to technology, design and product development, an experienced team-worker with a positive drive and attitude.
