Danaher Corporation PMO Director, ABL - Product Lifecycle Management in Bronshoj, Denmark

The ABL Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) organization is part of Global R&D and ensures that our blood gas analyzers (ABLs) and accessories are reliable, accessible, and preferred by our customers.

The ABL PLM team consists of 90 associates and is responsible for the majority of Radiometers released products. Overall, we are working on products within the scope of QDC, hence Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Your responsibility ranges from operational to strategical level

In this role, your main responsibility is the department’s PMO (Project Management Office) activities such as project portfolio- and resource management. The portfolio covers approximately 75 concurrent projects and the PMO responsibility includes project intake, progress tracking, reporting, as well as monthly and quarterly reviews with the PLM- and Global R&D leadership teams.

You will work cross-functionally with colleagues in Denmark and Poland to ensure sufficient cross-functional resource allocation to PLM-projects based on proactive alignment among R&D departments, Operations, Regulatory Affairs (RA), Quality Assurance (QA), Clinical & Medical Affairs (C&MA) and Marketing. You will lead PLM project prioritization based on real-time analysis of demand versus capacity/capabilities.

Importantly, you will also become a Danaher Business System (DBS) agent supporting the PLM team in improving our LEAN culture and skills to drive continuous improvement in projects and processes.

Furthermore, your areas of responsibilities will cover:

· Prepare material for quarterly project portfolio reviews and execution alignment reviews

· Manage PLM roadmaps, incl. quarterly updates and alignment with stakeholders

· Create streamlined and clear status reporting for PLM-project progress reviews

· Collect and consolidate input for weekly- and monthly reviews of in-field product quality metrics

· Carry out monthly updates of financial forecasts for the PLM organization incl. actuals and accruals

· Create yearly financial budgets based on input from stakeholders

You will report to the Senior Director, ABL PLM and work closely together with both Global R&D’s PMO director and Senior DBS (LEAN) leader.

Your strong skills make you stand out

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with project portfolio- and resource management and strive to be the best in class in a systematic, structured, and accountable way.

We picture the right candidate holds 5+ years of proven experience within the medical devices or life sciences industry and a minimum of 5 years’ experience of working with R&D project management and/or department management.

On top of that, we are looking for a person who has some or all the below qualities:

· Service-minded with excellent planning and collaboration skills

· Strong presentation skills and able to communicate the critical few key takeaways

· Experience with LEAN systems and methodologies

You have an act for embracing teamwork with an ability to build positive relationships and partnerships across the organization by using your coaching and mentoring skills. You possess strong analytical skills with attention to details and can apply knowledge of problem solving, especially when it comes to uncertainty and solving the unknown (many people, many projects).

You enjoy structure, and at the same time demonstrate the ability to work pragmatic in a fast paced and changing environment with multiple priorities. Additionally, you should have great written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills with experience in facilitation for an audience.
