Senior Global R&D LEAN/DBS Leader

In the LEAN/DBS leader role, you interact directly with Senior Leadership in Radiometer and you will drive the continued development of our LEAN culture within Global R&D. The role will focus on instructing and coaching leaders to develop and cultivate a LEAN culture through Teamwork and Kaizens (Japanese business philosophy of continuous improvement of working practices, personal efficiency and more). Moreover, you will be responsible for driving a successful implementation/maturing of LEAN/DBS within Radiometer Global R&D.
In doing so, you will benefit from close collaboration with Danaher’s global DBS/LEAN Office, with tool practitioners anchored in functional areas or sites, and with peers in the Global R&D senior leadership team.
This position reports directly to VP, Global R&D, and plays a key role in our global R&D organization.
The main challenges ahead for the LEAN/DBS Leader will among other include:
Implementing and maturing of Danaher Business System at Radiometer’s R&D entities worldwide (US, Switzerland, Poland, India, and Denmark) with a special focus on innovation and fundamental tools.
Formulating and executing a DBS strategy for Global R&D that enables the organization to build the right processes and proficiencies to stay ahead in the innovation race.
Serving as a change facilitator, and at times as hands-on Kaizen facilitator to walk the walk and encourage the organization, while at the same time build a strong DBS talent funnel.
Facilitating and/or conducting innovation- and fundamental tools training programs and Kaizen events.
Master or Ph.D. in Technical area, e.g., Engineering, Science, Pharmacy or similar.
10+ years practitioner experience with product development, technology development, or product maintenance – preferably within the medical devices industry
5+ years of validated experience of Toyota Productions System and methodologies such as problem-solving process, daily management, policy deployment, standard work, 3P, and Kaizens.
3+ years of 10+ persons project management experience.
Strong communication skills on all levels in the organization
Ability to work with cross-functional teams globally and build followership
Naturally works with- and influence all levels of the organization
