Danaher Corporation Senior Director, Global Marketing BG & TC & Samplers in Bronshoj, Denmark
Radiometer develops, manufactures and markets solutions for blood sampling, blood gas analysis, transcutaneous monitoring, immunoassay testing and the related IT management systems.
The Senior Director BG will lead the development and continued commercialisation of Radiometers Blood Gas (Blood Gas instruments and Blood Gas syringes) and Transcutaneous Monitoring portfolios, which constitute 80% of Radiometer's business.
The Senior Director, BG Marketing, reports directly to the VP of Marketing and leads a team of 10 reports (2 first line, 8 second line). He/she is part of the Marketing management team and contributes to the prioritisation of projects and allocation of resources. He/ she manages the budget allocated for the BG Marketing team including cost of employees, consultancy for NPD and commercial and promotional activities. The position is located at Radiometer Medical’s headquarters in Brønshøj.
The candidate will manage a team organized around two streams; New Product Development (NPD) and Commercial Product Management (CPM).
The Sr. Director has a key role in supporting the growth contribution from New Product Development including improving Radiometer´s IPV (innovation pipeline value). The NPD tasks includes strong VOC/VOS based input to the pipeline definition and representing marketing in the R&D projects through the team. The Sr. Director is a key role in securing high quality Marketing input into the full TG process and challenging own team as well as full project team.
The CPM tasks include internal product management, development of promotional content and lead generation campaigns and collaboration in go-to-market decisions for the existing BG, TC and Sampler portfolios. Additionally, he/she is a key contact representing the BG business in front of both subsidiaries and distributors.
In this role, he or she is exposed to customers and external experts in the product application area. The candidate will also collaborate with internal stakeholders across Global Marketing (teams managing other Product Groups, Marketing Communications and Digital Marketing, Market Intelligence, Pricing) and across functions, including Sales, R&D, Finance, Production, Clinical and Medical Affairs, Global Supply Chain, RA, QA, Legal, Technical Documentation and Services.
The candidate will be a key support to senior management (VP team) in strategy development, policy deployment, definition and follow up of key performance indicators, daily management, continuous improvement, problem solving and definition and application of countermeasures.
Requirements for this position:
Ideally deep understanding of the diagnostics industry, the market and the key BG players in lab and Point of Care (POC)
Knowledge on key performance metrics of why technical performance may become relevant for clinical decisions, how the assay design can impact performance and how to turn it in selling points
Ability to identify the key drivers for POC placements (vs. sending samples to the lab) in different settings
Understand how market drivers, competitive landscape, market access, reimbursement/funding, value chain in buying decisions, etc. vary across different regions and healthcare systems
