Danaher Corporation Senior IPR Counsellor in Bronshoj, Denmark

The team

The IP team is a small but dynamic team supporting business units on a global level. We work with a large variety of tasks, ranging from patent prosecution, FTOs, educating on IP as well as supporting the business with strategic IP work.

We work in a fast-paced environment with many different tasks so it's important that you are capable of maintaining focus and prioritizing your work.

The job

The job will require you to lever a wide range of competences. Your day could start with the detailed task of responding to an office action continuing to present IP landscapes and finish off with a management presentation on the strategic use of IP. Your ability to drive change and work strategically with IPR will be important. Radiometer and HemoCue both have a product portfolio including a broad range of technologies and a large pipeline, which means you will not only be providing support to a narrow product group or technology but also in a broader perspective.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities will be providing IP support to our sister company HemoCue and the Immunoassay business of Radiometer. Initially, the split will be 50/50, but going forward the support to HemoCue is expected to increase and likely end in 100% support. Hence, it is essential for this role that the candidate is willing to commute to the HemoCue site, located close to Malmö in Sweden, 2-3 days a week.

  • Build and sustain IP Strategies for technology and development projects

  • Responsible for mapping the IP ambition and building the right IP strategy for HemoCue, and driving the process

  • Secure freedom-to-operate and protection for new technology developments within HemoCue and Immunoassay

  • File new patent applications and advice business on IPR matters (patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyright)

  • Educate on IP and increase IP awareness in Radiometer

Requirements

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. within physics, chemistry or a relevant field of engineering

  • Solid knowledge within spectroscopy or image analysis

  • You are a European Patent Attorney

  • Industry experience

  • You are capable of setting up processes and demonstrate leadership and can work independently.

  • Good communication skills
