Danaher Corporation Senior PMO Manager, Global Operations in Bronshoj, Denmark

Meet you team

As our new Sr. PMO Manager you will report to the Program Director – part of the Global Operations Management team – and be working with a highly engaged and committed colleagues across multiple production sites, across multiple functions and at all organizational levels. Your key peers will be Global Operations Management team, cross functional network with local PMO functions and project Managers.

You will work with products that contribute to saving lives every single day.

Your responsibilities summed up

In the last years we have made significant improvements in Project and portfolio excellence and the person taking this role shall continue to work towards improvements and take it to next step. As Global Operations PMO Manager you will have freedom to operate within the frame of creating project and portfolio management excellence.

In this role you are responsible for Global Operations PMO activities such as project portfolio management including project intake, tracking, monthly and quarterly reviews with local PMO offices and Global Operations management group. It is a global role with responsibility for project intake and local support to factories. A part of the job will also be coaching and training local PMO’s and project managers in best practice and standard work.

An important part of this position to support the Global Operations Management team in the strategy work setting up the best manufacturing footprint and organization to meet growth and cost targets. Moreover, the PMO role should further develop the project governance and execution standard work needed to execute the strategy and capacity projects.

We expect our new Senior PMO Manager to executed on the following during the first year:

  • Upgrading and improving global project governance

  • Governance for capacity projects established and running as standard work

  • Be a key contributor to Operations strategy

Preferred Qualifications

We expect you to hold a master’s Degree in engineering or Science combined with a Project management education and certification.

Additionally, you have

  • Minimum 5 years of confirmed experience in a production environment in a controlled industry (ISO 13485 or similar)

  • Minimum 3 years of project management and/or department management experience.

  • Experience of project portfolio management or similar

  • Validated track-record in motivating change successfully

  • Confirmed practical experience within LEAN

  • Business acumen and strategic agility, understanding and the ability to ‘the big picture’

Further to be successful in this position you have confirmed strong group facilitation skills.

  • You possess effective coaching and mentoring skills and thrive by working with cross-functional teams globally.

  • You naturally generate fellowship and influence all levels of the organization from Senior Leaders, Functional Leaders to project managers and practitioners in all functional areas.

  • You enjoy structure and at the same time proven track record of working optimally in a fast paced and changing environment with multiple priorities and drive results.

The job requires proficient English – written and spoken (business level).

You must calculate some travel activity of estimated 10-20 days a year.
