The Senior Accounting Manager EMEA for Cytiva is responsible for reviewing commercial contracts in alignment with US GAAP revenue recognition criteria and ensuring high quality reporting standards for commercial balance sheet accounts.
This position is part of the EMEA Controllership Team and will be located in the Budapest office with 3 days at the office and 2 days mobile work. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
What you will do:
Review and approval of commercial contracts, as well as monitoring revenue recognition to ensure compliance with Cytiva's accounting policies and US GAAP
Support the month end process, including journal preparation and review, ensuring accurate sales and cost cut-off
Conduct detailed analysis of balance sheet accounts to identify trends, anomalies and potential risks, including variance analysis and balance composition during the month end process
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Commercial Finance and Customer Services, and provide business support as needed
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
Collaborate with internal / external auditors and SoX team to provide documentation and support during financial audits and SoX testing
Who you are:
Degree in accounting or finance. ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification preferred
Several years of experience in accounting
Strong understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP) and revenue recognition standard (ASC 606)
Proficiency in Oracle, as well as advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling and analysis
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present financial information to various stakeholders
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
