The Sales Enablement Commercial Manager will coordinate and develop a successful sales strategy to train and support the commercial sales unit in NA. Leading the Sale Enablement and Training Team, the Sales Enablement Commercial Manager will drive rapid revenue growth and market share through delivery of commercial tools and training to drive commercial excellence.

The Sales Enablement Commercial Manager is the owner of commercial team training in North America with responsibilities for Latin America & Brazil. This role will lead the training specialist team to build and expand commercial training material to sustain best in class training programs. Responsibility to develop knowledge for products, sales methodology, competitive intelligence and other key learning techniques to support commercial excellence. The Sales Enablement Commercial Manager is supported locally by Sales Enablement Project Manager and peripheral departments. In addition, the Sales Enablement Commercial Manager will work side-by-side with lateral departments to achieve the strategic goals defined by the senior leadership, Regional Managers & Technical Managers. The Sales Enablement Commercial Manager also works with the team to develop and design content in line with team members, that are specific to strategy & goals of the Sales leaders at Leica Biosystems.

All the responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Provide the direction, leadership, coaching and mentoring for sales support direct reports. Advance the professional development, professional conduct, sales effectiveness and efficiency of the sales support associates.

  • Recruit, develop, and train sales support specialists with clearly communicated sales and overall performance standards.

  • Lead the sales support specialist team as the “Go To” product expert for a specific region or country providing all technical product resource.

  • Provide periodic field-based customer visits as well as training support for the commercial team.

  • Work with the commercial team as the strategic lead for Core Histology, Immunohistochemistry & Pathology Imaging platform.

  • Build and develop a mentoring model to ensure direct reports provide needed enablement resource to increase commercial sales business acumen.

  • As the team leader, assist the team to coordinate and lead VIP site visits, VOC and VOS support for sales support specialist and the commercial team.

  • Lead initiatives to create and develop sales enablement resources to maximize sales efficiencies.

  • Facilitate strategic coordination with the commercial departments such as commercial operations, commercial development and marketing.

  • Develop and direct communication activities through ALL CALLS, such as but not limited to: relevant platform updates, product disruptions, discontinuation of service for products and related matters.

  • Assist in development and execution of sales incentives programs to ensure achievement of business objectives.

  • Work with the Commercial Development Leaders to provide metrics on funnel/forecasting reviews. Drive to root cause on sales shortfalls and identifies countermeasures to ensure business success.

  • Assist Sales Support Specialist in routing content collateral for MAPSS approval

  • Coordinate the Sales Support Specialist team to facilitate product specific efficiencies, working alongside the Commercial Development Leader. [Pre-sale, Post-sale, Installations, Instrument Demonstration]

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Education: BA/BS Degree required

Experience:

  • 5-7 years relevant sales or relevant experience

  • Prior people leadership experience strongly preferred

  • Prior capital sales experience

  • Contract negotiation/high level selling experience or selling in a matrixed environment

  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Internal Candidate Requirements:

  • Promotion - P3/P4 GCRF level or higher applicant:

  • Perform 90%+ to quota 2 out of 3 years where applicable (Within year is year to date)

  • 18 months in role (or business justification)
