To make an impact your responsibilities will include:

Service within the region

  • Visit customers (primarily universities and hospitals) for preventive maintenance actions, fault analysis, upgrades, installation, maintenance and repair to achieve optimum customer care delivering professional service with effective working practices.

  • Be the face of the company and trusted advisor to the customer.

  • You will work on Leica High-end microscopes including confocal and super resolution microscopes.

  • Your main region will be in the Midwest based out of Chicago, IL.

Reporting

  • Deliver accurate reporting, handling and timely submission of service reports, expenses.

  • Spares Stock management and other Service documentation

Cooperation/Teamwork

  • Collaborate closely with the Service Team to ensure all customers in the region are provided professional after-sales service.

  • Support Sales Representatives in activities such as installations and demo/exhibitions.

  • Exchange valuable information resulting from customer contacts to increase customer happiness and sales.

  • Cooperate closely with Customer Care to ensure smooth and fast processes that lead to delighted customers.

Your profile and job requirements:

  • Technical-scientific education, technical engineering degree or previous military experience.

  • 3 years or more experience of a technical nature.

  • You speak well and can communicate enthusiastically with our customers.

  • You have skills in troubleshooting and like to work on complicated things.

  • Ability to work in a team or as an individual with shared objectives.

  • Handling of new technology tools.

  • Preferably you are home based in the Chicagoland area and you'll be working from your home office.
