We are looking for an Electro-Mechanical Remote Support Technician to work with our Service team. Do you have a passion for keeping our installed systems operating at peak performance? Then we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
Take ownership of customer technical issues and drive them through to resolution
Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve system issues
Follow standard procedures for escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
Adhere to and apply Quality requirements
Identify problem areas and trends and provide feedback and ideas for improvement
Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in performing work
Use the service tracking system to provide clear documentation of activities for each support activity
Participate in creating and updating service documentation
Provide remote assistance and support to teams installing systems at customer sites
Available for occasional travel to customer sites (5-10%)
May be required to be On Call after hours and weekends
Ability to work after hours shifts and weekends is a requirement
Who you are
A post-secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent; specializing in electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics is desirable – equivalent experience will be considered
Programming, mechanical and electrical problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working directly with customers with discretion
Detail-orientated - able to identify and troubleshoot problems with industrial machinery, independently if necessary
Able to follow and help improve work instructions
Understanding of robotics, control systems, and machine operation with hands-on experience is desirable
A self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Nice to have:
Experience with computer networking, data acquisition and data historians
Programming experience (PLC, Wonderware or FactoryTalk) would be an asset
Experience working in regulated industries or environments, ideally in GAMP
