Danaher Corporation Market Development Manager in Busan, South Korea
Looking for a strong, dynamic marketer with experience in market development within the life science industry help define new market opportunities in order to expand IDTs solution portfolio for top and bottom-line growth, develop deep and extensive relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to help inform IDT’s priorities for optimizing new product introduction as well as post launch sustainment, and partner closely with regional sales teams to establish key strategic partnerships with customers and prospects.
This person is responsible for developing key insights into market opportunities, creating solutions to commercial barriers, delivering results with our current solutions portfolio and preparing the market for our future innovations.
Lead/participate in development and execution of marketing strategies including brand positioning, communication strategies, advertising and campaign initiatives.
Possess a strong understanding of the customers’ needs in the areas of basic research, translational research, and clinical testing through direct customer contact and primary and secondary research.
Prior success in leveraging internal and external market data and publications to analyze and track trends that may impact the short and long-term needs of addressable markets.
Conduct competitive research by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintains research information.
Partner closely with key opinion leaders to develop and educate customers on the value new IDT solutions provide.
Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams across the region to understand customers’ needs and perceptions, and to optimize marketing campaigns across all channels.
Leverage CRM and marketing automation tools to drive engagement and retention through integrated campaigns.
Govern database hygiene and actively identify and remove obstacles preventing our Marketing teams from trusting and using data effectively.
Analyze and report on marketing activities (events, campaigns, SEO efforts etc.) effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).
SFDC reporting and knowledge of marketing attribution models to help hit goals and produce meaningful insights for the team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Life Sciences, and previous experience in Life Sciences, Sales, or Marketing required.
Other Job Qualifications
Requires 8+ years of experience in medical technology or diagnostics with ideal experience including molecular biology in Korea, or at a APAC level.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize and work well under deadlines and time constraints with minimum supervision.
Ability to use various information technology systems required for successful job performance.
Good knowledge of business and scientific English, spelling and punctuation, office practices and procedures.
Ability to operate independently, lead cross-functional teams, manage deliverables and act with good business judgment.
Adaptability to situations requiring the precise attainment of set limits, tolerances or standards.
