We’re looking for a Contracts & Licensing Manager (m/f/d) for our Cell Line Development business. The successful candidate will be part of our wider commercial team and in charge of drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and licenses with strategic and key customers, including service and license agreements and other typical commercial contracts. In addition, the role includes the development of commercial strategies and pricing models, and expanding further our contract management tools and databases.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement licensing strategies and commercialization plans

  • Review and negotiate strategic and transactional customer agreements

  • Work closely with our business development and sales organization to manage commercial relationships

  • Manage CRM and commercial contract databases

  • Advise sales and business teams on agreement structures, risks, and contract revisions

  • Provide commercial teams with knowledge in license models, service offerings and pricing concepts

  • Manage contract reviews and solicit input from commercial, R&D, product development and product management teams, and various further stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance to licensing and contract policies and guidelines to support the achievement of business objectives

  • Interact with internal and external legal teams in regions (EMEA, US, APAC)

Who you are

  • Master degree in life sciences, engineering, or economics

  • 3+ years background in business development in life sciences, preferably with focus on licensing

  • Commercial experience with contract drafting and license models

  • Experience with project management and external client engagement and communication

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Experience prioritizing demands from multiple businesses in a fast-paced environment

  • English language fluency, German language fluency a plus, excellent communications skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite and CRM a plus

  • Innovative mindset – develop new concepts through interaction with our interdisciplinary teams

  • Team spirit – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams
