To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Field Service Technician located in the Cambridgeshire / Hertfordshire region

The Field Service Technician is responsible for developing the knowledge and skills to support the maintenance, installation, and repair of SCIEX products at customer sites. This position works under close supervision and mentoring by a manager, regional specialist, and Senior Engineers within the territory. Tasks are performed independently as competencies are developed.

This role is supported with technical training

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Completes assigned training tasks

  • Develops knowledge of SCIEX products

  • Learns and develops technical skills necessary to perform high-quality maintenance and triage repair on instruments

  • Perform preventative maintenance and triage repair on selected products

  • Accompanies experienced Field Service Engineers on installation and repair calls

  • May perform installation/repair calls independently as experience increases

Qualifications:

  • You will have experience in operating and maintaining scientific instruments in a laboratory or healthcare setting within a chemistry, biology or life science setting.

Additional Requirements & Competencies:

  • Excellent communications skills and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally with customer

  • Willingness to travel for multiple days at a time for Customer visits and/or training

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Driving license is essential

  • Computer literate in Windows and MS Office
