What you’ll do

  • Mechanical engineering, prototyping, 3D design and drafting

  • Testing, assembly and validation work

  • Involvement in R&D projects; both new products and supporting/improving existing products

  • Working within our QMS and Product Data Management systems accurately and to a high quality for our scientific equipment and medical devices

  • Supporting customer service and sales activities with your technical product knowledge

Who you are

  • Class 2:1 degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering subject

  • At least one years’ experience within new product development, biotechnology, medical devices, laboratory machinery/equipment design, or engineering consultancy. (Candidates from related fields with a strong interest in regenerative medicine and cellular therapy are also encouraged to apply.)

  • At least one-year experience using SolidWorks (or equivalent) for modelling parts/assemblies, drawings and BoMs.

  • Proven experience of designing components for a variety of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metalwork, and/or injection moulding.

  • Familiar working in quality-controlled environments such as ISO 9001 and/or 13485 QMS

  • Hands on experience with electro-mechanical systems, ideally with some thermodynamics experience

  • A willingness to learn about our products and work accurately within our quality systems
