Purpose of position:

The Water Solutions Specialist develops and grows sales using action plans to achieve the best penetration of HACH instrument sales and services within your designated territory. This position significantly impacts the Company’s ability to successfully sell instrumentation in the domestic UK Municipal marketplace for drinking and wastewater.

Key Duties and responsibilities:

All sales activity in the territory to meet sales growth targets such as customer visits, telephone contacts, product demonstrations, conferences and trade shows.

Delivering sales growth through an action plan to identify: sales objectives, sales opportunities, major customers, and arranging regional training events, seminars and exhibitions

Regular sales funnel management and maintaining customer activity records in Salesforce database.

Gathering information on competitor activity within the region.

Critical Success Factors:

Sales ability to manage large customer accounts (UK water companies). To be able work with customers to deliver their business needs through consultative selling of Hach products and solutions. Have an understanding of UK water company strategy during 5-year funding cycles (AMP period) and to align with Hach customer solutions.

Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to quickly establish significant credibility, trust and support within all levels of the Hach and our customers' organizations

High degree of commercial and technical proficiency.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Preferably a BA or BSc degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Environment Sciences, Engineering or equivalent experience. Alternate science degrees will be considered.

Experience in the waste water industry and general techniques and chemical procedures employed by HACH Company.

Successful sales record with similar products and services.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT applications

Must have a valid and clean driver’s license and must be willing and able to travel.
