Danaher Corporation Manager, Product Management - Immunohistochemistry in Cardiff, United Kingdom
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Management Manager to join our team on a remote basis, with regular company expensed travel to Newcastle. You’ll be responsible for leading the Newcastle based Product Management team for NPD and PLCM Projects of our IHC product portfolio.
In this role, you’ll
Primary responsibility for revenue achievement of product portfolio
Provide leadership to team to drive high team engagement and performance.
Allocate and manage Product Management resources to execute product portfolio strategies according to the product roadmap.
Set and maintain the IHC product performance & quality requirements anchored around user needs and LBS brand values.
Manage products throughout their lifecycle ensuring commercial success of new products, continued support of existing product and effective rationalization strategies to ensure product portfolio health.
Collaborate with R&D and Commercial Product Management team to specify, develop and launch new products according to Product Launch Excellence (PLE) process.
Collaborate with the Manager, Product Roadmaps to prioritise projects to address current & future diagnostic trends, competition, market conditions, etc.
Evolve future product direction through participation in P2P and other similar growth tools.
Use the extended commercial teams and other inputs to remain up to date with relevant markets on prices, competition, opportunities, etc.
Work with global marketing and commercial product management on messaging of value proposition and positioning of products/solutions to ensure marketing collateral maximises sales outcomes.
Work with Innovations team and R&D team to support the investigation of potential new product opportunities and early phase feasibility studies.
What you’ll need to do the job
Experience in Product Management
Management experience of technical personnel preferred
Innate commercial acuity of the Anatomic Pathology Diagnostics space preferred
Experience in Biomedical industry, Medical Device or Cancer Diagnostics industry preferred
Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in science (Medical Science or Biology) or Business related subject
Good judgement with ability to balance big picture thinking and appropriate attention to detail, with a risk management focus
Critical thinking and analytical abilities
Excellent communication skills
Ability to function in a matrix environment as a key member of a Core team
High levels of initiative, self-motivation and energy
Project management skills
