Danaher Corporation Advanced Technician, Quality Control in Carlsbad, California

Location/Region: Carlsbad, CA, USA

Reports to: Manager, Quality Control

Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:

The Advanced Technician, Quality Control inspects, tests, and verifies manufactured material to ensure that the Sciex consumables and documentation meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Execute quality control inspection and laboratory procedures to ensure raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods meet production specifications.

  • Complete and review batch records per GMP/GDP standards and company procedures.

  • Maintain laboratory material stock levels & manufacturing retain samples in designated storage locations.

  • Perform laboratory daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning protocols.

  • Perform out of tolerance investigations for calibrated equipment.

  • Serves as QC team member on multi-department projects for process improvement and new products as required.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional team to align daily tasks with business needs.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related field

  • 6+ years of laboratory experience required

Additional Requirements:

  • Elementary statistics knowledge required

  • Proficiency with fundamental laboratory test equipment

  • Must have a positive attitude & strong willingness to learn

  • Ability to communicate effectively, follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Able to demonstrate time management skills.

  • Previous laboratory experienced preferred

  • Mass spectrometry testing and analysis experience preferred

  • Experience in GMP/GDP facility preferred
