The HR Business Partner is a critical position to support a growing multiple site operation in California and Minnesota. The HR Business Partner will report to the Sr. Manager of Human Resources for both sites. Overall duties will be varying HR support to the two offices to include, payroll support, employee relations, leave of absence, training, on boarding and recruiting, and support of various Radiometer/SenDx initiatives such as merit and bonus clean up and roll out, Workday and ADP administration.
Key challenges in the position:
Having a broad scope of responsibilities and at the same time being able to maintain a high service level of daily deliverables as HR Business Partner to managers and leadership team
Able to raise the bar for HR services by utilizing systems effectively through reporting and giving managers and employees the right tools to effectively do their jobs
Being able to document, review and improve existing processes using best practices from Danaher/Radiometer.
Support all implementation of HR processes required from the corporate office
Assist with all compliance related activities for HR in regards to different legal requirements, federal labor laws and various auditing bodies (MDSAP, FDA, GDPR)
Day-to-Day Support for employee relations, recruiting, reporting, on boarding and compliance for two sites in Carlsbad, California and assistance to the Hr Generalist in our Minnesota office.
The HR Business Partner will be responsible for maintaining and supporting HR processes at the sites, including administration, payroll assistance, performance management, recruitment, talent management and development, salary reviews compensation and benefits.
The HR Business Partner will be part of the global HR community within Radiometer/Danaher and is expected to provide proper reporting and application of global policies, programs and systems.
Prepare, present, develop and communicate HR policies and procedures
Employee relations for non-exempt level employees
Assist with orientation for new hires.
Conduct exit interviews, and performance improvement plans for non-exempt level employees for the Carlsbad site
Lead employee activities with assistance from engagement committee
Lead HR responsibilities for the Carlsbad operation level employees including, policies, employee relations, leadership training and ongoing Danaher Business Systems.
Solid hands-on experience (5-7 years) within most areas of HR (admin, payroll, talent management, performance management, business partnering, compliance, health and safety, compensation & benefits)
Extensive knowledge of federal and state labor laws (CA-must, and MIN-preferred)
Strong attention to detail and critical thinking
Certification in Human Resource Management will be an asset
Experience working in a Lean culture will be an asset
Proven record of coaching and business partnering experience to leaders on all levels of organization
Minimum BS/BA degree or equivalent preferably within HR, business administration, organizational psychology or similar
- Proficient in Microsoft office, ADP, and Workday
- Up to 10% may be required
Must be able to read, write and fluently communicate in English
Excellent written and oral communication skills
