Danaher Corporation Manufacturing Lead in Carlsbad, California
Work with supervisor/manager and other team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedules are met.
Coordinate schedule changes and adjust supporting labor plans accordingly.
Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
Coordinate cycle counts and timely work order closure activity.
Use basic problem solving skills to ensure stable operation of the work cell.
Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials and labor to Production Supervisor.
Work closely with support staff such as Technicians, Manufacturing/Quality Engineering, R&D, Production Supervisor, Materials/Warehouse to resolve issues.
Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete standard work.
Update production metrics, lead cell Gemba meetings and facilitate regular team communication.
Facilitate Shift Hand-off meetings to ensure seamless communication on issues and priorities.
Sustain and drive lean manufacturing and 5S activities via the use of DBS tools.
Participate as an active member of the production team and assist in product processing when required (50%+).
Participate in scheduled production meetings/calls as required.
Ensure documented policies and procedures as designated by the company’s Quality System, are being followed.
Initiate NCR’s and Rework.
Support the VS Supervisor/Manager’s objective to ensure full compliance to Time Punch and Attendance Policy procedures.
Follow detailed production/assembly/testing instructions, processes and procedures.
Complete & update required documentation relating to regulatory requirements.
Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.

At least 3 years of related manufacturing production experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, work instructions, and maintenance instructions.
Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Ability to work with others collaboratively.
Strong organizational skills.
Experience leading teams or projects.
Medical device manufacturing experience.
Experience with an ERP/MRP operating system.
Lean manufacturing and continuous process improvement experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
