iDEAS Program - Scientist
Danaher’s Life Sciences and Diagnostics teams are looking for bright and innovative individuals to join our iDEAS Program. iDEAS (Innovation Defines Engineers and Scientists) is a highly competitive, inter-site science and engineering program to jump start your career. Over the span of 18 months, this rotational program offers a smooth transition from academia to industry while having the opportunity to work on 3 different, 6 month long projects in both technical and non-technical functions.
The intent of this program is to provide exposure to the Danaher Business System (DBS), product knowledge, networking, customer site visits, development training, and visibility to product and service functions that will position you to advance your career within the organization.
We are looking for a scientist for Radiometer located in Carlsbad, CA. As a scientist on the team will serve as a key player and be responsible for evaluating and implementing new technologies, evaluation and optimization of current and future products, execute studies, analyze data, summarize/present results and writes study reports independently to determine procedures and practices to determine for appropriate actions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work cross functionally on projects in R&D that support your program development.

Must have permanent US Work Authorization (US opportunities)
Must be fully completed with your degree program and able to start by early July 2019
Four year or less of post-graduation industry experience
PhD focused in chemistry, biochemistry, or bioengineering
Peer reviewed publications
Demonstrated leadership potential through internships, academic departments, clubs, research projects, etc.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Strong technical knowledge
Ability to adapt under conditions of ambiguity, and able to adapt to new assignments
S trong data analytics and problem solving skills
Strives for innovative solutions, and motivated by continuous improvement
Results oriented as an individual and in a team setting– has track record for delivery results, takes ownership and is accountable
· Experience with enzyme chemistry and immobilization techniques
· Experience with electrochemical sensors
· Polymer chemistry and membrane design
· Design of Experiment and Statistical analysis skills
· Modelling and algorithm development
