The Senior Analyst-Procurement is responsible for the planning and buying of one or more commodities that support our chemical reagent manufacturing site and managing MRO purchases for the site. This will be done in accordance with our global supplier strategy, selection and relationship management, service, cost and risk mitigation plans. This individual will work closely with Manufacturing, Master Scheduling, Manufacturing Engineering and Development to ensure an efficient and effective supply of raw materials and bulk reagents for filling and packaging.
This position is part of the Materials Department and will be located in Carlsbad, CA as a hybrid role. You will be an integral part of the Procurement and Planning team and report to the Manager of Materials and Planning responsible for materials, procurement, and warehouse.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Manage specific suppliers wholly; some are used across several operating companies requiring coordination with other sites and our Strategic Procurement group to maximize the most favorable outcome for Beckman Coulter.
Take ownership of Key Performance Indicators including on-time delivery, savings generation, and inventory performance.
Establish critical inventory parameters to improve inventory performance and drive positive cash flow. — such as activity-based costing (ABC) and safety stock settings, replenishment quantity, and launch quantity — considering constraints and input, such as lead time and order cycle time.
Drive the analysis and review of demand data to support purchase and planning decisions both short and long-term to ensure continuity of supply.
Generate ad hoc reports and visualizations, working with analytics leaders to understand the supply chain metrics that support the business needs.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in field with 5+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree in field with 3+ years’ experience.
A strong track record of driving measurable results working with suppliers, preferably in the chemical/biological and packaging markets.
Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze supply chain data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Experience managing a diverse set of suppliers and communicating our needs related to quality, total cost, delivery, and compliance.
Proficiency in using data analytics tools, such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar software.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, process improvements, and risk mitigation strategies.
Solid understanding of supply chain management principles, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
Proven experience as a Supply Chain Buyer, with a focus on data analytics, project management, and procurement.

The salary range for this role is 83-105K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
