We are looking for a Senior Process Engineering Manager to lead all aspects of the process engineering team supporting all value streams. The successful candidate will provide management, direction, and staff development in a high-paced manufacturing environment and will use troubleshooting, data analysis and problem-solving techniques to improve plant efficiencies. This individual will develop, recommend, and implement improvements to production processes, materials, methods, and controls.

All the responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, yields, machine availability through lean techniques (DBS) and value engineering to improve the capability of existing processes and remove waste

  • Support Value Streams in the resolution of high priority production and quality issues

  • Work with the Quality team to identify and resolve systemic quality issues

  • Identify and support capital equipment investment

  • Drive functional excellence of the team while recruiting, mentoring, and developing staff as master problem solvers

  • Review production data (product performance, process capability, product cost, etc.) and compare to industry standards, customer expectations, and competitors.

  • Collaborate with R&D Engineering to gain and provide needed support

  • Define, establish, monitor, and report key performance metrics to meet key goals and manufacturing objectives including ensuring manufacturing capacity meets established plan

  • Develop staffing plans, assign projects, and balance workloads

Your knowledge and expertise that matters most:

  • 10+ years of Engineering experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on engineering management experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Manufacturing, Process Engineering, or Engineering field (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Science)

  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills and proficiency performing and implementing Design of Experiments (DOE’s), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Ishikawa Diagrams, optimization, and other systematic tools

  • Ability to analytically evaluate data and information, use dynamic problem-solving methods and implement solutions

  • Ability to apply standards and codes published by such authorities as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills used to effectively and efficiently communicate with varying levels within the organization and interact with customers and external business professionals

  • Strong program and project management, leadership, team building, and mentoring skills.

  • Ability to drive business relevant projects and ensure a positive impact for customers

  • Experience with Automated and Semi-Automated assembly preferred

  • Quality Management System experience preferred
