Develops and implements testing, sampling, on in-process materials, and/or finished products to ensure that product specifications and company and regulatory requirements are met. Investigates and troubleshoots functionality and performance problems. May recommend corrective action when appropriate. May monitor and execute on-site equipment calibration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assessment testing as scheduled on in-process and/or finished device products according to all quality documentation.

  • Evaluate test results for compliance to specification.

  • Recognize problems that might affect the quality of integrity of the product and communicate problems.

  • Perform calibration and routine daily/weekly instrument maintenance to ensure accuracy of results.

  • Identify Lean manufacturing opportunities for continuous process improvement and suggest alternatives and solutions to problems.

  • Initiate changes to current SOPs.

  • Ability to help train other QC technicians or temporary technicians.

  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in medical technology, required

  • Knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing or DBS tools

  • Must work well with others and understand how to be successful in team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), required

  • Basic understanding of Statistical analysis is needed

  • Ability to stand for 8 hours, required

  • Experience working in a diagnostic medical lab

  • Associates degree with 3 years’ experience, preferred
