Software plays a pivotal role in revolutionizing our connected device to the digital service offerings. The Sr. Manager, SW/IT Engineering leads the SW/IT product development strategy for Radiometer medical device and associated SW/IT product development. This role also delivers SW/IT solutions for SenDx Manufacturing. The Sr Manager collaborates with key partners across the business to define software roadmaps and guide the full SDLC of new and existing product platforms including: development of software applications and subsequent software validation, test activities in support of product the life cycle and new product development activities.
Responsibilities we will trust you with:
Establish strategic direction for the initiation and implementation of new technical programs consistent with Radiometers overall product roadmap.
Providing strategic and technical planning to successfully direct product SW development in consideration of the company's product development strategy; assure timely delivery and provide reporting.
Leading your team through the full product and process software life-cycle management from design, development, testing, product release and maintenance including documentation requirements and validation test activities consistent with all regulatory and compliance standards.
Participate as a key member of the R&D Leadership Team in the business planning and strategy processes (Policy Deployment). Provide expert guidance with development of yearly strategic objectives consistent with the goals and objectives of the business.
Participate in defining the overall product development strategy within both the SenDx and Radiometer’s global R&D organizations including development of applicable business cases to support strategy.
Establish departmental priorities, project priorities and resulting project timelines consistent with Radiometer’s business strategy.
Resource management of personnel, equipment, and finances with assigned product development programs.
Define and develop product and process software specifications and lead software development teams in the development of software applications based on the software requirements and product specifications.
Lead functional and cross-discipline teams on defined product development teams.
Be a recognized technical master for the SenDx product portfolio and collaborate with Radiometer Senior Leaders, Sales Subsidiaries, and Distributors of Radiometer’s products to support product performance including, quality, troubleshooting and strategic direction of future products (VOC).
Responsible for recruiting, retaining, developing, coaching, and mentoring results driven R&D staff.
Collaborate with Operations and the Regulatory and Quality team to develope processes that support product quality, delivery, cost, and safety.
Enforce to all aspects of regulatory compliance within the organization, adhering to applicable rules and regulations and supporting on-site regulatory audits.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matters most for this role:
MS or BS Computer Science, Engineering Sciences or equivalent
5+ years of Software Management Experience with cross-discipline program/project teams and people management required
Good understanding on Software Concepts and tools required; familiarity Cloud Concepts preferred
Familiar with Agile development processes
Experience in a regulated industry preferred
Utilize critical thinking and ability in moving strategy to action.
Proven capability to influence, align and collaborate within an organization
A proactive, self-starter with good project management skills and customer-first mentality.
