The Value Assignment Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the Value Assignment of calibrators and controls. You will determine the expected ranges for the calibrators and controls that support our IMMAGE, DXC and AU Clinical Chemistry Analyzers

This position is part of the Special Chemistry Department located in Carlsbad, California and will currently be a hybrid position, with potential to become more on-site in time. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to Relentlessly Reimagine Healthcare, One diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Value Assignment Team and report to the Manufacturing Supervisor responsible for the Value Assignment, Cals and Controls Formulations, and the Special Chemistry Fill/Packaging Teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Analyze and interpret data to assign values to calibrators and controls for the IMMAGE, DXC and AU Analyzers

  • Use assigned data to create files used for the generation of calibrator/control final kit components

  • Coordinate testing with external Reference Laboratories (scheduling and sample preparation)

  • Ensure manufacturing/delivery schedules are maintained to drive business goals

  • Ensure company, industry, and regulatory standards are met (ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, MDSAP, IVDR, Quality Policies and SOPs of Beckman Coulter)

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a Scientific field with 0+ years experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Ability to process and assign large amounts of data on a daily basis

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in Medical Diagnostics Industry (FDA and ISO 13485)

  • Experience in reagent manufacturing
