Pantone has been the world leader in color communication and specification for over fifty years. Pantone’s products and services are used by designers and manufacturers in many industries – from graphic design and print to apparel and product design – to ensure accurate color from inspiration to realization.
As a Color Standards Technician, you will:
*Measure fabric samples using a Spectrophotometer.
*Collect and archive color data using iColor software.
*Make responsible decisions to either approve colors, or submit for correction.
*Perform visual color evaluations, providing direction to lab and production facility.
*Maintain detailed color history in Excel.
*Build and maintain physical archives.
*Attend meetings, and Kaizans as needed.
The Color Standards Technician is expected to have:
A superior score on the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test.
The ability to comprehend and articulate color terminology.
The ability to collect and analyze color data.
Strong decision making and communication skills.
The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
A professional appearance.
Education and Experience Required:
Minimum of 5 years work experience as a colorist, dyer, or other color-related position.
Microsoft Word and Excel, Level 1
High School Diploma
