Danaher Corporation Colorist - Software Support in Carlstadt, New Jersey
In this position as Colorist/Software Support Specialist, you would have the opportunity to “Accelerate growth through technology” by uncovering and utilizing the software’s capabilities to support individuals with their processes. You would respond to individuals with software failures, installations, instructions, and interface with the software engineers at Xrite, Setex, and Tecnorama when needed. You would be instrumental during software purchases, upgrades, and training. You would understand the capability of the software to provide uploads to Excel and create reports tailored to meet the demands of the department. As you continue to gain knowledge in the IMatch software, you will create and adjust dye recipes to fulfill production demands while documenting trends in results.
The candidate for this position would possess combination of color knowledge, understanding of dye chemistry and color software applications. This position would require you to:
Possess excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
Use the iMatch color software to Formulate and Correct Dye Recipes for Production
Analyze and troubleshoot color software performance
Act as liaison between Pantone and Xrite software team
Support users of Color iControl with resolving software problems.
Manage database for over 3000 colors.
Document problems, maintain logs and report errors to software developers.
Develop reports within the Setex Software that are tailored for department needs.
Understand the functions of Tecnorama software and organize troubleshooting sessions between Pantone technicians and team in Italy.
Assist Color Technicians with overflow of limits and production evaluations when needed.
The candidate for the position will have:
Training in Color Theory
A superior rating in the Farnsworth Munsell 100 Hue Test.
The ability to learn varying software applications and their capabilities.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, and telephone manner required.
The ability to express technical concepts in an effective manner, both verbally and written.
The ability to learn quickly and work independently.
Your education/Background experience will include
Degree in Chemistry, Textile Science, Computer Science or 5 years work experience equivalent.
Technical computer knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
