Job Description

Are you looking for a position where you can apply your knowledge of water treatment applications and solutions to our customers? You would have the opportunity to provide equipment technical support to our sales force, customers and equipment group! This role would utilize technical equipment knowledge in which you would review quotes for technical accuracy, communicate and train on technical changes, product improvements, industry requirements, and work with purchasing on pricing, standardizing equipment, vendor selection and management.

Qualified individuals in this role are expected to always offer professional and high-quality customer and technical services to customers. Further, they need to have familiarity with performing basic water testing, taking measurements, documenting results through reports, and sharing quantitative data with sales associates and customers.

Essential functions & responsibilities

  • Regularly perform water analysis and engage in advanced problem-solving to apply the appropriate chemical solutions and monitor effects for additional treatment

  • Focus on performing required services, as instructed by contractual obligations

  • Consistently calibrate pumps and perform repairs that restore chemical feeds

  • Supervise product feed rates and their relative impact on the water sample and make vital adjustments to treatment program when gaps are detected

  • Provide technical support to inside personnel, sales force and customer on equipment selection, feed and control methods, pricing and troubleshooting of equipment issues

  • Primary contact for incoming phone calls through ACD and emails to the ETS mail box

  • With purchasing provide input to existing and future vendor evaluation, selection for non-standard equipment and review and testing of new equipment

Supplemental responsibilities

  • Enter results into software program and communicate results utilizing service reports

  • Assist in water-related system improvement projects

  • Monitor product inventories

  • Utilize and maintain company equipment in good, clean condition

  • ETS support, input and guidance for departmental projects and equipment system or component issue resolution and establishing standardized equipment packages

Education & experience

  • Bachelors of Science; Engineering or technical degree preferred

  • 2-5 years of experience in water treatment, chemical or hydrocarbon industries

  • Knowledge & skills

  • Technical skills, Analytical skills

  • Communication and Interpersonal skills; Teamwork and leadership

  • Advanced problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of company product portfolio and application uses

  • Ability to work with only limited supervision

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to learn new operating systems

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or equivalent skills
