Danaher Corporation Sales Representative Centrifugation in Cassina De' Pecchi, Italy

We are seeking a Sales Representative based in Northern Area of Italy to represent Beckman Coulter Life Science Centrifugation business. The primary role of this position is to actively promote the company’s products and services to a defined customer base within an assigned geographic territory.

The Sales Representative is expected to implement a sales plan designed to achieve established sales and financial goals; calls on prospective and current company customers; involves technical personnel to resolve customers issues and problems as needed; may participate in the establishment of sales targets and design of the territory's sales plan; and controls sales expenses. Responsible for strategic sales targeting includes all Academic, Pharmaceutical, Government and Biotech accounts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Annually submit and implement a detailed sales plan, identifying sales objective, sales opportunities, major customers, ideas to grow market share, etc.

  • Perform all sales activity within an assigned geographic territory

  • Participate in sales activities including customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations, customer seminars and channel management

  • Document all contact attempts, conversations, quotes and lead follow-up in Salesforce.com CRM system

  • Maintain an accurate and plentiful Sales Funnel

  • Submit monthly and quarterly forecast

  • Assist in maintaining a mail list for customers in the assigned territory

  • Collects and reports information on all competitive activity within the assigned territory

  • Extensive travelling throughout the territory is expected (up to 50%)

  • The field sales activity at the customers’ locations will require also physical activity (e.g. lifting/carrying of materials and equipment, 50-60 lbs.)

Requirements:

  • University degree in Life Science or Material Science - a master’s degree is an advantage

  • Experience or proficiency in Business Analytics

  • Work experience in a Laboratory and/or Research Center desired

  • Open and closed questioning skills

  • Ability to prospect for new prospective customers and sales opportunities

  • Solid consultative, application-based and needs-based sales skills

  • English fluency is required

  • Good command of MS Office

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent time and territory management habits

  • Highly motivated and success driven
