The Surgical Sales Specialist is responsible for growing and expanding Mammotome's Breast Surgery business within assigned accounts in the South Carolina, Coast of Georgia, and Northern Florida territory. They are responsible for identifying, planning, organizing and implementing all activities related to the sale and distribution of our portfolio of breast surgery products.

How will you be successful?

  • Continuously develop and maintain a funnel of opportunities

  • Create comprehensive and effective strategic call plans that drive positive sales results

  • Develop and maintain outstanding relationships with prospective and installed base customers using relationships to drive recurrent sales cycles for products

  • Collaborate with Biopsy Sales Consultants to identify disposable opportunities

  • Install and provide in-service training on products as required or appropriate

  • Use white papers and clinical/product terminology and knowledge to support cases and convert competitive accounts

  • Use knowledge of products and procedures in clinical setting to train and advise customers and product users

  • Apply knowledge of competitive products and procedures to draw comparisons and differentiate product features and benefits

  • Independently support cases in all modalities without assistance

  • Identify underlying problems affecting organizational or individual performance such as market conditions, competitor actions, or other external forces

  • Lead presentations and demonstrations to the customers on application and product using effective communication and sales techniques

  • Maintain efficient time management skills to ensure customer contact and high levels of customer service

  • Efficient use of company resources such as time, money, materials and people to produce desired results

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • BA/BS required

  • Minimum of 2 years of operating room medical device sales experience with a successful track record of growing business in a territory

  • Medical device sales experience may include: surgical implants; disposable surgical devices, biologic and/or synthetic implants and mesh, breast implants (reconstructive surgery), tissue expanders, diagnostic and treatment equipment (i.e. infusion pumps, urodynamics, etc.), imaging equipment, clinical/medical laboratory capital equipment, brachytherapy capital and/or seeds & balloons, capital/disposable biopsy

  • 75% travel, 1-2 overnights a week may be required

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Strong preference for mix of medical device disposable and capital sales

  • Previous call points: General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Breast Surgery, Oncology
