The Manager, Human Resources for Chaska Operations at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for people and business growth strategies in support of the Chaska Operations function and special projects across Beckman Coulter's sites. You will be responsible for partnership with senior leadership in the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and New Product Integration organizations in Chaska as well as be the HR change leader for our growth in the Chaska site.

This position is a member of the Human Resources team supporting the Global Operations function and will be reporting to the Director, Human Resources, North America. This is an onsite position in Chaska Minnesota, requiring 3 days per week of onsite presence in support of our onsite operations associates at one of our largest anchor sites. You will be a part of the North American Operations Human Resources team, partnering with site HR leaders across our North American sites. There is one direct report assigned to this role, charged with leading HR work at the site department level. You will be responsible for the ideation, design, and sustainment of people initiatives at the site level and work on projects outside of the site, benefitting the Global Operations team and overall Human Resources function. You must have growth mindset in this role at Chaska site, expanding and enhancing our Associate Value Proposition through work in engagement, talent management, DE&I, and workforce planning.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Expand our local presence in the Minneapolis labor market, taking our Associate Value Proposition to the next level, partnering internally and externally to position our brand with both current and future associates

  • Partner with senior leadership and HR peers in support of key strategic projects across North America

  • Coach and lead leaders through key people related topics, supporting these leaders in their own skill development in DE&I, Workforce Planning, Engagement, and Talent Management & Development at the site level

  • Lead through KPIs, using established tools and creative comparisons of data to change data into actionable information, and then sustained actions

  • Collaborate with COE’s in the Employee Relations, Talent Management, HRIS, Recruiting, and DE&I spaces, leveraging their expertise to build and implement people strategies for the North American Operations organization

  • Maintain and enhance our employment brand in the external marketplace, building our company’s reputation in our local markets through partnerships with schools, DE&I organizations, and local / government employment consortiums

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience, OR Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience OR Doctoral degree with 4+ years of experience

  • Change management experience, leading businesses through growth and expansion and/or workforce development initiatives

  • Demonstrated experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement environment

  • A Human Resources background spanning all aspects of the discipline, including employee relations, learning & development, talent management, DE&I, and recruiting.

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience working with senior leaders, using information and influence to successfully navigate change

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in high-tech, manufacturing, and/or regulated (FDA, DCAA) industries

  • Experience working with local workforce development boards, governments, schools, and/or professional organizations

  • Certifications in LEAN or Six Sigma
