The Planning Manager for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics provides oversight and direction for the hardware planning team that manages inventory and supply planning for raw materials through finished goods, ensuring inventory is maintained at optimal levels so company goals and customer requirements are met.

This position is part of the Integrated Supply Chain team located in Chaska, MN, and will be hyrbid. At Beckman Coulter, we are dedicated to advancing healthcare for every person.

You will be a part of the Materials and Chaska Site Operations team and report to the Director of Materials and Planning, responsible for establishing organization objectives, forecasting and executing decisions, and developing resource strategies.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provides active coaching and mentoring for direct reports, as well as hiring performance management of associates

  • Responsible for developing production/supply plans that take into account forecasts, availability of materials, and manufacturing capacity

  • Drive targeted, sustainable improvements in On-Time Delivery, Margin Expansion, Working Capital turns, Inventory, and related KPI’s/objectives by using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools, facilitation skills, and the change management process

  • Responsible for providing materials to manufacturing areas based on planned production schedules

  • Benchmark and incorporate standard methodologies from other Danaher locations and build business cases to prioritize investments that help us move closer to industry best practices that are applicable to our operations & supply chain

  • Champion continuous improvement using the Danaher Business System aimed at improving planning tools and capabilities as well as improving intermediate and finished good inventory levels

  • Communicates potential stockouts and issues to executive management, internal customers, and managers

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years experience or master’s degree with 7+ years experience

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Previous experience including leading Procurement and Materials Planning organizations

  • Prior experience working in an FDA/ISO regulated environment

  • Financial/cost accounting experience managing multiple cost centers and budgets
