This role works with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).

You will develop specific marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. This includes: developing business plans and product positioning in the marketplace, overseeing market research, monitoring competitive activity, identifying customer needs and establishing pricing strategies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Global technical product expert with responsibility for product life cycle management, product road maps, strategic planning, and maintenance of the Access Family of Immunoassay Systems

  • Department representative on product development Core Team with deliverables of: Voice of the Customer, Business Case, Customer Product Requirements, Launch Strategy, and Commercialization Plans

  • Gathers and assesses market and competitive intelligence, global trends, and displacing technologies

  • Develops product line forecasts in collaboration with Global Marketing and Supply Chain Planning and manage inventory interruptions

  • Product training to global marketing teams

  • Partners in the design, development and management of sales collateral and relevant clinical evidence

  • Collaborates with Scientific Affairs in Key Opinion Leader development and management

  • Supports VIP visits and key customers as required

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 9+ years’ experience OR Master’s degree in field with 7+ years

  • 3+ years Product Management experience in laboratory diagnostics, life sciences, or related healthcare field preferred

  • Strong technical and financial aptitude; experience in financial analysis/modeling skills strongly preferred

  • Sales or customer facing experience preferred

  • Knowledge of competitive environments and laboratory workflow processes helpful

  • Travel for team meetings, customer meetings, etc. is required.
