The Manufacturing Scientist II will:
Participate in the development of new products on the New Product Development Operations team, collaborating with the Senior Project Management to ensure compatibility with current and future manufacturing processes and capabilities.
Lead, coordinate, or participate in operations-related activities required for the transfer of new products to routine production such as scale-up, process development/optimization, technology transfer, process validation, test method validation, and costing.
Partner with R&D team to assess manufacturability throughout the Innovation Development Process of new immunoassay reagent products.
Serve as a technical liaison for other departments with regards to new product introduction activities, including, but not limited to bill of materials, reference material, reagent formulation, and standard operating procedures
Create and maintain production documentation including procedures, worksheets, and bills of materials.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in field with 2+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience
Experience with standard work and with quality control, reagent operations or supply chain management
Experience in immunoassay diagnostics and with Quality System Regulations
Experience independently exercising judgement and working against project deadlines
It’s a plus if you also have:
Bachelor’s degree Chemistry, Biochemistry or Life Science with 2+ years of related work
Exposure to Design for Manufacturing
Experience with daily management
