Description
The Reagent Development department designs, characterizes, and verifies new technologies for the diagnostic market.

Teams in this department work together to integrate customer needs into the development process.

Operators plan and perform experimental studies and evaluate the results toward this goal.

In addition, associates support technologies post-launch to resolve performance issues and maintain the health of products in the field.

In this exciting entry level role as a Science Development Technician you will be responsible for completing assignments requiring independent thought, judgment, and initiative. Individual should require a limited degree of supervision for routine work and general instructions, with supervision, on new assignments. Individual should be able to assists in developing new techniques and procedures that lead to greater departmental efficiency. All work must also meet regulatory requirements and follow company policies and procedures.

Specific responsibilities include: 1. The coordination of blood draws, including but not limited to donor registry, phlebotomy scheduling, and sample processing. 2. Involved in sample screening, processing, and preparation of drawn and purchased samples. 3. May also take on additional administrative task within the department which include but are not limited to inventory management, pack filling, equipment validation and departmental maintenance. 4. Use education (in accordance with company policies and procedures) to complete complex activities in creative and efficient ways. 5. Clearly articulate issues that may arise during daily activities and communicate progress to direct supervisor and peers.

Qualification
Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree
  • 3 years’ experience laboratory work experience / clinical lab environment
  • 2 years’ experience with Microsoft Suite Products
  • 1 Years knowledge of good laboratory practices and scientific methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA Degree within a Science Discipline / Chemistry / Bio ect. BECKRSR
