You will be a part of the new instrument development team and report to the senior manager of software engineering responsible for the design and delivery of software for our next generation immunoassay instrument. In this role, you will have the following opportunities, but are not limited to:
Lead scrum teams working on a large software backlog
Facilitate scrum ceremonies
Advocate for and reinforce agile principles
Help the team identify risks and remove impediments
Track progress to plan using strong visual management tools such as burn up charts
Lead problem-solving teams on complex engineering issues and negotiate plan trade-offs with stakeholders
Communicate mission and vision to engineering teams to drive results as well as coach others in creating personal plans to complete their work
Drive multi-site and multi-team alignment sessions to coordinate plans and dates
Be relentless in making our process and product better. We plan time to solve our systemic problems and expect team members to help expose them and find creative solutions.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years relevant experience OR Master’s with 3+ Years
Strong prioritization management skills to focus team around most important objectives
Proven track record for leading and mentoring others
Capability to work successfully with internationally distributed teams, including some evening meetings as well as some domestic and international travel (<4 weeks per year, travel is currently restricted)
It would be a plus if you also possess:
Familiarity with agile principles and scrum framework, CSPO or CSM certification a plus
Experience in application development and coding
