The Senior Director of Operations for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for leading the Chaska site including instrument and reagent manufacturing, Facilities and Ranch Operations.

This position is an integral part of the Global Operations team and will be located in Chaska, Minnesota. At Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, our vision is to advance healthcare for every person.

You will be a part of the North America Manufacturing organization and report to the VP of Operations responsible for the strategic leadership for the Chemistry, Immunoassay and Hematology business units including 7 manufacturing sites.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership and direction to multiple including hardware and consumable manufacturing.

  • Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and empower staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills

  • Responsible for driving KPI’s and global performance in terms of safety, quality, on-time delivery, inventory, and operational P&L.

  • Lead adoption of the Danaher Business Systems (DBS) throughout the teams to improve quality, delivery, cost, and innovation by applying tools and a continuous improvement mind-set.

  • Ensure key strategies and decisions are communicated and understood by others.

  • Collaborate worldwide cross-functionally to accomplish business objectives.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Bachelor’s degree with 20+ years of experience, or Masters’ / Doctoral Degree with 18+ years of experience - includes 6+ years managing people.

  • Degree in life sciences, engineering, sciences, or related field

  • Experience must include Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, and operating in an FDA/ISO regulated industry.

  • Proven leader in multi-discipline, multi-site operations (may require global experience), and ability to lead an organization through ground-breaking change.

  • Prior experience in a DBS, Lean or Six Sigma Culture. Detailed understanding of Lean manufacturing tools and concepts along with a proven track record for lean implementations and documented resulting success.

  • Proven track record to work cross-functionally and within matrix to achieve business outcomes
