This Senior Facilities Technician for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for performing and maintaining site facilities systems and equipment and well as repairs and construction on our 6 building 500,000 square foot Chaska biomedical manufacturing and research campus.
This position is part of the Facilities team located in Chaska, MN and will be working onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be part of the Facilities Team and report to the Facility Manager and be responsible for the installation, maintenance and upgrading of biomedical production and research equipment as well as day-to-day office and facilities support.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
HVAC (RTUs and Heat Pumps)
Refrigeration (UltraCold Freezers and Coolers)
BCS (Alerton based) and environmental monitoring.
Ensures successful maintenance of grounds and building infrastructure by troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical equipment (structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, heat-pumps, cooling towers, etc.).
Conducts facility inspections and equipment condition assessments to determine necessary modifications, including repair work and replacements.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Associates Degree (or equivalent) in related facilities trade (i.e., HVAC, Boiler, Maintenance trades) 3+ years of related experience.
MN Boilers License.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Work with minimal supervision.
Read and work-from blueprints, technical schematics, and floor layouts.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and machinery in an industrial manufacturing environment. Lifting up to 75 lbs.
