Danaher Corporation Senior Procurement Analyst in Chaska, Minnesota
BS/BA in field with 5+ years exp. OR Master’s degree in field with 3+ years OR Doctoral degree in field with 0-2 years exp.
Bachelor of Business degree from accredited school, MBA preferred but not mandatory. Bachelor of Engineering acceptable with combination of business/ procurement experience. 5 +years of fundamental procurement experience - supplier negotiations, RFPs, RFQ’s, comprehension of cost drivers, ERP systems, payment terms, supplier performance management, etc.
APICS/ ISM certification preferred- CPIM, CSCP, CPM or equivalent designation preferred.
Strong understanding of Computers, Lasers, Optics, Power Supplies, and Peripherals or Pumps, Valves, Pneumatics and Motor/Motion Control Commodities, as relates to pricing and application.
Familiar with Lean Six Sigma philosophies/ practices- Black Belt/ Green Belt highly preferred.

The ability to understand and read engineering drawings and specifications related to fit, form and functionally, preferred but not mandatory.
Intermediate-advanced Microsoft Office suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets, prepare formal reports of findings and provide decision support based on data.
Strong grasp of statistics and how to apply statistics to support decision making.
Comfortable in presenting information/ proposals to groups using Microsoft PowerPoint and ensuring message is understood by target audience.
Ability to negotiate with suppliers and align processes/ programs to support the BCI operating plan, enabling superior quality and internal/ external customer value.
Excellent project management skills- ability to complete projects expeditiously with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of FDA requirements.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments/ sites in a team environment while also representing the best interests of BCI, Procurement department and SRM team.
Demonstrates sound decision making based in pragmatism and data but thinks outside of the box for creative ideas and how to achieve goals.
Ability to define high, medium and low impact activities and prioritize workload/ focus to produce high impact deliverables.
